Arizona ATV Accident: Crash Seriously Injures Male Yuma Rider

On Wednesday night in Yuma, Arizona, a man was involved in an ATV accident that left him seriously injured and needing to be hospitalized.

Yuma County Sheriff's Office officials stated that the crash occurred at around 9 p.m. at Avenue D and Clip Street.

According to deputies, a green 2006 Suzuki four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, being operated by 49-year-old Gary Christopher Seale, of Yuma, was heading eastbound on Clip Street and approaching the intersection with Avenue D, when Seal lost control of the ATV and rolled it.

YCSO deputies and Rural/Metro emergency personnel responded to the scene, where they found Seale in the intersection next to his ATV, the rider suffering from what were described as life-threatening injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Yuma Regional Medical Center and was later airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix for treatment of his severe injuries.

Sheriff's deputies have informed that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, but that authorities suspect that alcohol could likely have been a significant factor.
