On Tuesday of last week in Phoenix, Arizona, a car accident involving a semi tractor-trailer took one woman's life.
Spokesman for the investigating Mesa Police Department, Detective Steve Berry, stated that the crash occured that day as 58-year-old Maryann Beausoleil, a Mesa resident, apparently ran a red light while on the westbound Loop 202 exit ramp which lead to McDowell Road.
Det. Berry revealed that the woman's car was crushed, sliding under the trailer portion of a semi truck which was headed west on McDowell Road at the time of the collision.
The impact was so severe that Beausoliel's car was dissected into four different parts as it struck the semi. Emergency personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
After investigating the scene, Berry stated of Beausoliel's final moments:
"It would be impossible to suffer if you look at the severity of the impact."
Berry informed that the unidentified truck driver did not report any injuries sustained during the car wreck, and revealed that the investigation into the details of this case will be ongoing, and will include authorities from both local and state agencies.
