On Tuesday night, four young men allegedly robbed a Circle K convenience store before being involved in a rollover car accident.
According to Phoenix Police Department spokesman, James Holmes, these four males stole several cases of beer, cash, and cigarettes. Holmes indicated that the group had also taken several other things from the "area of the cash register" at the store, located near 44th Street and Thomas Road.
Holmes revealed that the thieves, in their getaway, didn't get very far from the scene of the crime. As the men tried to flee the scene, they smashed their GMC Yukon SUV into another car.
The supects then proceeded to run away on foot and sought refuge in a nearby Phoenix neighborhood.
Residents heard the commotion and called 911, and it has been reported that at least one of the four supects tried to get into someone's home.
They were easily caught.
The robbers apparently totaled their vehicle and spilled their stolen beer and other debris all over the road near the collision.
Capt. Scott Walker, Phoenix Fire Department spokesman, reported that when fire department personnel were brought to examine the injured suspects, he found that two of the suspects were seriously injured, and one of them may have even been ejected from the vehicle at the time of the accident. He further stated that two others refused treatment altogether.
The victims of the car that the suspects smashed into were reportedly uninjured.
Phoenix police took all four men, including three that were under the age of 18, into custody.
As a Phoenix car accident lawyer, you hate to see young individuals getting involved in potentially life-threatening situations because of alcohol or mischief-related activities. As an Arizona wrongful death attorney, you see far too many lives taken from young individuals making stupid decisions.
